ArtTrail, 2008

ArtTrail 08 showed the work of over 30 artists in 16 venues throughout Cork city.
The card tables have been fabricated with a series of designs that reference principles of medieval T&O map-making. At this time worldly understanding was caught in a contradiction of geographical knowledge that knew the world to be round, and religious belief that claimed the world to be flat. These historical representations of the world are presented here as an abstract surface, where ideas of play and chance become present.
