LadyFest, 2008
Installation view at Unitarian Church, LadyFest Arts Festival, Cork, 2008. Work in the festival: Changing A Tyre, 2008, participative sewing circle, in collaboration with Annette Persson.
A large table cloth was embroidered with a diagram of changing a tyre. Festival-goers were invited to participate. Through juxtaposing gendered activities this event looked at the construction of gendered tasks. Documentation of the event was presented in the form of a film shot from above showing the image of the tyre slowly emerging on the cloth.
